Effective: 2026-09-29 · Applies to the iOS / macOS app "FurChart"
In one sentence
We collect nothing. Pet profiles, medical records, and reminders live only on your devices and in your own iCloud private database. We run no servers — we never see, store, or relay your data.
1. Data we collect
None. FurChart contains no analytics SDKs, no ad SDKs, no trackers. It never requests tracking permission. Our Privacy Manifest declares zero collected data types and zero tracking domains.
2. Where your data lives
On device: all data is stored locally in the app sandbox (SQLite).
iCloud (private DB): if enabled, data syncs across your devices signed into the same Apple ID via Apple CloudKit. This is your own private iCloud database — the developer cannot access it. Sync uses Apple's encrypted transport and storage.
Photos: photos you attach are stored locally / in your iCloud private DB only. No third-party upload.
3. AI photo capture (optional)
FurChart can extract structured fields from vaccine booklets / medical records using an AI service you configure (your own API key and endpoint, OpenAI-compatible). This feature:
is off by default — the entire app works fully without it;
sends requests directly from your device to the provider you chose; nothing passes through the developer;
is subject to the privacy policy of the provider you select;
stores your API key only on-device; it is never exported with your data.
4. Permissions
Notifications: only if you want vaccine/deworming reminders. Disable anytime in Settings.
Camera / Photo Library: only when you add photos to records. Denying does not affect other features.
No location, contacts, microphone, or any other permission is requested.
5. Export & deletion
Export everything as a JSON backup or a PDF record booklet anytime. Your data, your control.
Deleting the app removes all local data; iCloud private-DB data can be wiped anytime.
6. Children
FurChart collects no information from children.
7. Changes
Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
